The aims of the Association are:
To consult on, & to establish, maintain & improve the standards of theological education
To provide;
- Accreditation – Promote equality theological education through its member schools in the Pacific Islands,
- Weavers – Advocacy role on women program for equal opportunities for men & women, clergy & laity in the theological education in church ministry.
- Publication – To stimulate theological thinking & writing through contribution to SPATS publication including the Pacific Journal of Theological.

- Capacity Building for all member schools
- promote ecumenism
